many finished articles

Well, Ladies - you have been busy - so many finished articles - from the knitters, those who crochet, those who do cross stitching and also from patch workers!! See below for all the beautiful articles.

Rozanne's beautiful cardigan for her granddaughter.

The gorgeous little dog that adorns the cardigan that Rozanne knitted.

The photographs below are of the cardigan that Sheila has knitted for her husband - a very lucky man!

Vanessa, one of our new members has also been very busy - but there is a reason for that - all to be revealed later in the blog!!!! The next two photographs show the baby shawl that Vanessa has recently completed. We tried our best to drape the shawl as it appeared on the front of the instruction leaflet!! We didn't quite manage it but we did the best we could given our limited number of props!!

Not only has Vanessa finished the beautiful shawl but she has also completed two cross stitches - one of Venice and one of Paris - you might now be really wondering why??? You'll have to wait!!

Now, it is the turn of those who use their sewing machines really well - there is free motion stitching shown below and as a person who hasn't mastered the technique, YET (!!) I am full of admiration. Ann has also incorporated hand quilting in her completed 'Mystery Quilt'. So, below we have Ann's quilt and Cath's 'Double Wedding Ring' cushion cover.

The photo below is of the back of Carole's panel which she has free motion quilted beautifully - it is Carole's first attempt and she is really pleased with the result - quite rightly so - it is really, really well done - as I said earlier 'I can't do it, YET!!'

So what was everyone else busy with? A scan of the room showed that there was knitting, crocheting, lace making, cross stitching, sewing, embroidering and lots and lots of chatter and laughter. The photos below show some of the activities.

Sue Stead called in with her finished owl - her niece, Lucy, was with her as she is staying with her Auntie Sue for a few days. Lucy brought her Xmas cross stitch with her - it will be an Advent Calendar when it is completed. We all wish Sue well and hope that the surgery she had on Friday went as well as it could do - our thoughts are with her.

Well Ladies, why did Vanessa get busy finishing projects? - so that she could prove to herself, and hubby, that she is going to be a keen, regular member of the group and so she is now going to get a sewing machine!!!! Vanessa is also going to get the fabric so that she can make a quilt in the style of the one that Cath has just finished but which has yet to be photographed completed, - it is, however, on last week's blog.
Hope that you are all having a good week, see you all on Tuesday, Helen xx
