Last Wednesday in May!!

Well Ladies, how the year is flying by - sales Tuesday next week, June 4th.
It was a quiet meeting on Wednesday with those there very focused on what they were doing - for one member Christmas is just around the corner, see Pam's work below.

but it's only May . . !!!!!

Pam and Cath discussed their work with one another and then Cath's beautiful quilt, which is almost finished, drew a lot of attention from group members.

Mercedes, Jill W and Chris B brought in completed bags - they are shown below.

Above is Mercedes' beautifully hand appliqued bag which she brought to show us - the beauty is in the detail. Below is Jill W's bag using stunning fabric.

Above is Chris B's bag with its interesting button fastener - it is actually two buttons, one being lined up with the point of fabric. Below is her completed Bargello work - it is beautiful.

Around the room all the ladies were busy!

Carole is trying out different threads to see which is the most effective when she quilts her beautiful panel - well done, Carole, for having a go at this - it will be stunning when you have finished it - enjoy! xx
And below we have Christine looking for ideas for her next project - another busy lady whose recent Bargello class was very popular with members.

Above we have Jackie and Chris debating, not sure what, and Jill determined not to be distracted as she concentrates on her Bargello work!

And, finally, Helen working on her amazing embroidery which she designs herself - the detail is amazing - as you can see from the photo below.

I feel privileged to be involved with a group of ladies who have so much talent - truly inspirational, thank you. Have a lovely week, Helen P.

  1. Hi Ladies - I thought that I would 'talk you through' posting a comment in case you want to post one but don't know how.
Select 'comment as' and select which 'vehicle' you are going to use - for me it is Google Account - guess it will be for most of you. If you haven't got a Google Account it is easy to set one up. I'll click publish now and then give you the next instructions in the next post!

  2. next instalment! I wasn't signed into my Googlemail so was directed to a page to do that; then back to here. There will be two combination of letters and/or numbers - you are asked to type them into the box - can be tricky as some are difficult to read - if they are just click the arrow and you get a fresh set - they are case sensitive! Now click 'publish'!! Hey Presto!! Happy blogging!! Out of space now!! Adios!!Hasta Luego!!

  4. Hi Helen, another great blog entry, and thanks for the instructions, I do hope more of our group members will show their appreciation of the work involved in this blog, just by adding a few words of encouragement. It doesn't take many minutes, and that way we know someone is out there reading about what the group gets up to! See you in a couple of weeks, from Rachel in sunny, beautifully green England.
