Easter week . . .

Hola Ladies – I hope that you are having a lovely Easter Sunday and that the chocolate is not too tempting??!!
Sandy was heading off to Italy for the Easter weekend - she took with her the beautiful, woven, crocheted throw as a gift for her future inlaws  who she was going to meet for the first time - hope that you are having a lovely time Sandy.

Last Tuesday was a busy day for most, as you will see from Yvonne’s photographs – thanks for taking them – I forgot my camera!! oops!! Some of the photos taken are to go on individual members pages when Rachael has settled back in to the Spanish way of life – and I know from experience that that can take some time! I’ll leave a CD of the photos in the ‘black bag’ so that, when Rachael and Frank are ready, they can add the photos to the web page.

And so, to the meeting – nineteen of us worked on a variety of individual projects. Our industrious Pam brought her completed cushion covers, table runner and completed Mystery Quilt (see photos above) to show us – the projects are stunning as you will see from the photos. The photo below shows the detail of Pam's cushion where she used a special ruler for cutting - I feel a demo coming on Pam??!! or maybe a class? x

Helen Hulm also brought her completed Mystery Quilt – another stunning piece of work heading to the UK! Not mine though - mine remains unfiniahed!! But I have let Eloise take it home so that she can construct hers!! A good excuse!! xx

Jacqueline and Carole G worked on their large quilts whilst Carol C, Gwen and myself were able to progress our individual projects as shown in the photographs below.

And finally, apologies to anyone I haven't included and also if I have made any mistakes!! The blogger site has played me up all afternoon!!! It has controlled me, rather than me controlling it!!! Resorting to eating some chocolate now!!! Enjoy your stitching and I'll see you all on Tuesday - sale day, Helen. xx

  1. Crikey ladies, you are making my fingers itchy for a needle and pins! I haven't been idle though, I've been painting lots of backgrounds in my sketchbook using water colour pencils I brought with me, and I've been working on sketches for a new project percolating which I can't wait to start. Do I need yet more things to finish? I have done a teeny bit of stitching, putting a zip in a fleece jacket for Dad, not terribly exciting nor an easy task. Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing you all Tuesday week, so till then save me some warm sunshine please. Thanks for keeping the blog going Helen, you've done a great job, see you when you get back from your trip. Rachel
